as the distance between two parallel line is always same.so, assuming this distance be"k".
the lenght of the same base be "h"
now,
area of triangle =0.5×side×height
=0.5×h×k _____,1
area of parallelogram =side ×height
= h×k ______,2
so, from equation 1 and 2
we got,
area of triangle will be half of the area parallelogram.
