we know that area of triangle is equal if they are on same base and between same parallel. Also the diagonal of parallelogram bisect it into two equal parts.
area \: of \: triangle(pqr) =  \frac{1}{2} area \: of \: parallelogram
also
area \: of \: triangle(abc) = area \: of \: triangle(pqr)
so
area \: of \: triangle \: {abc} =  \frac{1}{2} area \: of \: parallelogram
