if a triangle and parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallels then prove that area of triangle is equal to half of the area of parallelogram

Divide the parallelogram into two triangles. Congurent the two given triangle. The congurent triangle implies that there area are same. Then Area of 1st triangle + Area of 2nd triangle = Parallelogram.
Which is :- 2*Area of any one triangle= Area of Parallelogram.
Therefore Area of parallelogram = 1/2 Area of triangle.
