Let the first side be x
Second equal side=3x-4
Third equal side=3x-4
Perimeter=55m
So, the equation formed-
x+3x-4+3x-4=55
7x-8=55
7x=55+8
x=63/7=9
First side is 9m
Second side is 9*3-4=24m
Third side is also 24m

Hope this helps....

Hi there!

Given :-
Triangle has two equal side and each 4m less than three times the third side.

Let us consider the third side to be = x
n' length of other two sides each = 3x - 4 ---( Given )

ATQ,

3x - 4  +  3x - 4  +  x = 55

7x - 16 = 55

7x - 16 + 16 = 55 + 16

7x = 63

x = 63 / 7

x = 9

Hence, The required answer is :-

♦ Length of third side = x = 9
♦ Length of other two sides each = 3x - 4 = 3(9) - 4 = 27 - 4 = 23

Hope it helps! :)
