Answer:

dimensions are 23, 23 ,9

Step-by-step explanation:

3rd side = length "x"

2 side lengths = 3x - 4.

3x - 4 + 3x - 4 + x = 55

7x - 16 = 55

7x -16 + 16 = 55 + 16

7x = 63

7x/7 = 63/7

x = 9

substitute value of "x" in 3x - 4,

3x - 4

3(9) - 4

27 - 4

23

hence the dimensions of triangle are 23, 23, 9

Let the third side = x

Then, the equal sides = 3x-4

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

55 m = x + (3x-4) + (3x-4)

55 = x+3x-4+3x-4

55 = 7x-8

55+8 = 7x

63 = 7x

x = 63/7

x = 9

Equal sides = 3×9-4

Equal sides = 23 m

Third side = 9 m

[Note : In the question, you have done a typing mistake and mentioned different units for sides (m) and perimeter (cm), so I took metre as the unit but you can check and use any of the units]
