Sides of the triangle respectively are 7cm ,10.5cm, and 14cm .

GIVEN

If a triangle with sides 4 cm, 6 cm and 8 cm. then the sides of the another triangle whose

Sides are of 7/4 the corresponding.

TO FIND

The sides of the triangle.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

Let us assume the triangle whose sides are given be ABC

Where,

AB = 4cm

BC = 6cm

CA = 8cm

Let the triangles whose sides are 7/4th of sides of ΔABC be ΔDEF with sides; DE, EF and FD.

Dimensions of ΔDEF are as follows;

DE = 7/4 of AB = 7/4 × 4 = 7cm

EF = 7/4 of BC = 7/4 × 6 = 21/2 = 10.5cm

FD = 7/4 of CA = 7/4 × 8 = 14cm

Hence, Sides of the triangle respectively are 7cm ,10.5cm, and 14cm .
