If a upon b equals to b upon c and a b c are not equal to zero then show that,
1. ( a+b+c ) ( b-c ) =ab-c sq

It is given

(a/b) = (b/c)

cross multiply

b^2 = ac

put this value of b^2 in (1) you get

ab - c^2 proved
