Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

a/b=-5/6••••••••(1)

and

c/d=2/3••••••••••(2)

To proof -

a/b - c/d and c/d - a/b are not equal

On subtracting eq. (1) by eq. (2)

a/b - c/d = -5/6 - 2/3

= -9/6

=-3/2 •••••••(3)

On subtracting eq. (2) by eq. (1)

c/d - a/b = 2/3 - (-5/6)

= 2/3 + 5/6

= 9/6

= 3/2 ••••••••(4)

So,

From eq. (3) and (4)

a/b - c/d is not equal to c/d - a/b.
