if a vector is multiplied by
a positive scalar, how is the result related to the original vector? What if the scalar is zero? Negative?​

Answer:

when a vector is multiplied by a scalar then the resultant is a vector. The result is same as multiplying a real number by a vector.

If the scalar is +ve then the vector is also positive and if the scalar is negative then the vector is -ve and if the scalar is zero then the vector is zero.
