To Find : angle made by it with z axis is

Solution:

a vector makes an angle 45° and 60° with x axis and y axis respectively

Let say angle wit z axis = a

=> Cos²45° + Cos²60° + Cos²A = 1

=> (1/2) +  (1/4) + Cos²A = 1

=> Cos²A = 1/4

=> CosA = ±1/2

=>  A = 60°  , 120°

angle made by vector with z axis =  60°  or   120°
