Provided that:

  • Acceleration = 5 m/s²
  • Initial velocity = 2 m/s
  • Final velocity = 27 m/s

To calculate:

  • Time taken

Solution:

  • Time taken = 5 seconds

Using concept:

  • First equation of motion

Using formula:

  • v = u + at

Where, v denotes final velocity, u denotes initial velocity, a denotes acceleration and t denotes time taken

Required solution:

→ v = u + at

→ 27 = 2 + 5t

→ 27 - 2 = 5t

→ 25 = 5t

→ 25/5 = t

→ 5 = t

→ t = 5 seconds

→ Time = 5 seconds \:
