If a wall clock falls and breaks into 2 pieces such that the addition of digits in the smaller piece is 31 and the digits in the bigger piece is 30. How did the wall clock break??

It can only happen in the following scenario:

After thinking very hard finally I found out:

The clock cracks between 12 that is it splits 1 and 2.

The small piece is between:

9,10,11,1(part of 12)

sum =31.

now big piece:-

2(part of 12),1,2,3,4,5,6,7

sum=30

Now you will ask where is 8.

I would answer that the clock broke in such a way that digit 8 has been destroyed or it has split into two special characters and  is not digit anymore.
