Step-by-step explanation:

the well is in the shape of a cylinder

earth taken out of well is volume of cylinder = πr^2h

radius = r = 3.5 m

height = h = 7 m

= 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5 × 7

= 22 × 3.5 × 3.5

= 22 × 12.25

= 269.5 cu m

volume of platform = l × b × h

269.5 = 14 × 5 × h

h = 269.5 / (14 × 5)

h = 269.5 / 70

h = 3.85 m

the height of the platform is 3.85 m

hope you get your answer
