According to the laws ofelectric resistance the resistance ofthe wire is directly proportional to its length. So the resistance also doublesthan the previous resistance and becomes 2R.

Answer:

R(new)= 2R

Explanation:

R=(rho)×l/a

new l=2l

R(new)=rho×2l/a

R(new)=2(rho×l/a)

R(new)=R
