if A wire of 440 m length is molded in the form of circle and a square turn by turn,find the ratio of the area of the circle to that of square.

thus perimeter of both figures will be 440

now perimeter of circle is 2*pi*r

thus 2*22/7*r=440

thus r=440*7/22*2=r=70m

area of a circle is pi*r*r

thus 22/7*70*70=15400msq

next perimeter of square is 440m=4*side

thenside=110m

area=side*side=110*110=12100msq

now ratio is 15400/12100

=14:11
