5. if A = (x-a) (x-b) (x-c) ........
(c+A) ..........(z+A) is

A = (x - a)(x - b)(x - c) .........(x - z)

In the RHS, there is one factor x - x = 0

=> A = 0

Hence, a + A = a + 0 = 0
