EVALUATION

Here the given set is

$\sf{A = \{x \in \mathbb{R} : {x}^{2} - 3x = 0 \} }$

Now

$\sf{ {x}^{2} - 3x =0 \: \: \: gives}$

$\sf{ \implies \: x(x - 3) = 0}$

$\sf{ \implies \: x = 0 \: , \: 3}$

∴ A = { 0 , 3 }

Since A contains 2 elements

Hence the total number of subsets of A

$\sf{ = {2}^{2} }$

$= 4$
