{\underline{\sf{Given}}}

  • If A = {x/x=n-1, neN, n < 3} then find n(A).

{\underline{\sf{Solution}}}

Here f(x)=(a-xn)n/1,a>0  and nEN

So, f(f(x))=f((a−xn)1/n)

so, put x→ (a−xn)1/n

f(f(x))=[a−[(a−xn)1/n]n]1/n

             =[a−(a−xn)n/n]1/n

               =(a−a+xn)1/n

            =(xn)1/n

So, f(f(x))=x
