Given: The two sets A = { x , y , z } , B = { p , q , r , s }

To find: Which of the relation on  A.B are function.

Solution:

  • Now we have given two sets as A = { x , y , z } , B = { p , q , r , s }.
  • A.B will include all elements of set A.
  • Now A.B will be equal to:

                A.B = { x , y , z } . { p , q , r , s }

                A.B = { x , p } , { x , q } , { x , r } ,  { x , s } ,  { y , p } , { y , q } , { y , r } ,

                          { y , s } , { z , p } , { z , q } , { z , r } , { z , s }

  • So A.B will possibly have all these elements in their set.

Answer:

                  So A.B will be: { x , p } , { x , q } , { x , r } ,  { x , s } ,  { y , p } , { y , q } , { y , r } , { y , s } , { z , p } , { z , q } , { z , r } , { z , s }
