If a = x3 y2 z4 , b = x2 y3 z , find HCF of a,b.

HCF stands for Highest Common Divisor.

It is  also called GCD i.e. Greatest Common Divisor.

There are two ways to find HCF of numbers:

a) Prime Factorization Method

b) Euclid's Division Algorithm

Given question: If a= x³ . y² . z⁴ and b = x² . y³ . z, then find HCF(a,b).

Solution: We have been already given the prime factors of a and b.

We know that HCF = Product of common prime factors with least powers.

So, HCF (a, b) = x² . y² . z
