If A1= 30, A2 = 20, I want to multiply these two cells and show output in C6. Which formula should I use? Write in cell C6, =30*20 Write in cell C6, =A1*A2 Write in cell C6, Multiply A1 to A2

you should use the formula A1*A2

A1*A2 formula will multiply the cells

c6=30*20 will multiply the values not cells but you have to multiply cells hence you cannot use c6=30*20

multiply A1 A2 command does not exist in excel.

The method is simple.


If the A1 cell has the value 30 and A2 have the value 20 then you can simply type in the formula in C6 cell as ‘=A1 * A2’.


Then press enter, it will give you an accurate answer with the multiplied value which will be = 20 * 30 = 600.
