it is given that ;

a₁=2

a₂=2

now for a₃ onwards,we have to use formula

an=(an-₁) -1

therefore putting n=3

a₃=(a₃-₁)-1

a₃=a₂-1

a₃=2-1   [a₂=2]

a₃=1

now n=4

a₄=(a₄-₁)-1

a₄=a₃-1

a₄=1-1   [a₃=1]

a₄=0

now n=5

a₅=(a₅-1)-1

a₅=a₄-1

a₅= 0-1   [a₄=0]

a₅=-1  

therefore we got the AP:2,2,1,0,-1....
