Answer:

We know that

(a+b)²= a²+b²+2ab

(a+b)²= 65 + 2(8)

(a+b)²= 65+16

(a+b)²= 81

Taking square root to both sides we get;

(a+b)= +/- 9

We know that

(a-b)²= a²+b²-2ab

(a-b)²= 65-2(8)

(a-b)²= 65-16

(a-b)²= 49

Taking square root to both side we get;

(a-b)= +/- 7

Taking the formula of;

a²-b²= (a+b)(a-b)

a²-b²=9×7

a²-b²= 63
