Given :-

$a^2+b^2=73$ $and$ $ab=24$

To Find:-

$a-b$

Solution :-

If ab=24, then 2ab=48

$Subtract$ $a^2+b^2$ $and$ $2ab$

$a^2+b^2-2ab=73-24=49$

$(a-b)^{2} =49$

$a-b=+7$  $or$  $a-b=-7$
