Answer:

ab=11250. (I)

b/a=18

let's find b value first,

b/a=18

b=18*a. (ii)

now putting equation 2 into 1

a*18a=11250

19a^2=11250

a^2=11250/18

a^2=625

now by underoot 625, we can find the value of a

a=√625

a=25

now value of b-

ab=11250

25b=11250

b=11250/25

b=450

Now, a+b =?

a=25

b=450

25 + 450 = 475

The value of a + b = 475

Given :

ab = 11250 and b/a = 18

To find :

The value of a + b

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the given equations

Here it is given that ,

ab = 11250 - - - - - (1)

b/a = 18 - - - - - - - (2)

From Equation 2 we get

b = 18a - - - - - - (3)

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the value of a and b

ab = 11250

⇒ a × 18a = 11250 [ Using Equation 3 ]

⇒ 18a² = 11250

⇒ a² = 11250/18

⇒ a² = 625

⇒ a = √625

⇒ a = 25

From Equation 3 we get

b = 18a

⇒ b = 18 × 25

⇒ b = 450

Step 3 of 3 :

Find the value of a + b

We get a = 25 & b = 450

Thus we have ,

a + b

= 25 + 450

= 475
