Step-by-step explanation:

given,

ab=6,--------(1)

a+b=5.----------(2)

(a+b)^2=?

from(1),we get

ab=6

a=6/b-----------(3)

substituting (3) in equation (2),we get

[(6/b)+b]=5

6/b+b=5

6+b=5b

6=5b-b

6=4b. therefore a=6/b=6/0.6=10

b=4/6

b=0.6

(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

=10^2+0.6^2+2×10×0.6

=100+0.36+12

=112.36
