Answer:

a+b= 6

ab=8

a=6-b......1 equation

substitute a value in any of the given value on top

(6-b)*b=8

6b-b^2=8

b^2-6b+8=0

b^2-4b-2b+8=0

b(b-4)-3(b-4)=0

there fore b is equal to 4 or 3

then a is equal to 2

there fore answer is 20
