Draw OP || AB || CD.

From Basic Proportionality Theorem,

 \frac{co}{ao} = \frac{cp}{pb} \\
And
 \frac{bo}{do} = \frac{bp}{cp} \\

From the above two equations,

 \frac{ao}{co} = \frac{bo}{do} \\ \\ \frac{3x - 19}{x - 5} = \frac{x - 3}{3} \\ \\ x = 8 \\ x = 9

guptaramanand68: (3x-19)/(x-5) = (x-3)/3 -> 3×(3x-19)=(x-5)(x-3) -> 9x-57=x^2 -5x-3x+15 -> 9x-57= x^2-8x+15 -> x^2 -9x-8x +72=0 -> x(x-9)-8(x-9)=0 -> (x-8)(x-9)=0 So x=8 or x=9. I can understand you are in 10th Class. Learn to solve quadratic equations.
