Answer:

240

Step-by-step explanation:

Draw LM parallel through AB and DE passing through C.

<ACM = 180 - <BAC (Co-interior Angles)

Therefore <ACM=140

<DCL = 180 - <CDE (Co-interior Angles)

Therefore <DCM = 100

Therefore angle x=240

Answer:

X = 240°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : AB || DE

angle A = 40°

angle D = 80°

  • First extend AC TO DE.
  • LET , AC meet DE at F.

(REFER TO THE ATTACHMENT)

  • Now AF act as transversal of AB || DE.
  • angle BAC = angle CFD [ Alternative Interior Angles ] = 40°

In Triangle CFD , angleC + angleF + angleD = 180°

=> angle C + 40° + 80° = 180°

=> angle C + 120° = 180°

=> angle C = 180° – 120°

=> angle C = 60°

X = 180° + angle C

=> X = 180° + 60°

=> X = 240°

THEREFORE , X = 240°
