We know that the ratio of areas of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of the squares of any two corresponding sides.

Therefore ,

Area of ( ∆ ABC ) / Area of ( ∆ DEF ) = AB^2 / DE^2

=> Area of ( ∆ ABC ) / Area of ( ∆ DEF )

=> ( 1.2 )^2 / ( 1.2 )^2

=> ( 12/14 )^2

=> 36/49

Hence 36/49 is your answer
