Answer:

5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

side opposite 90⁰ is the hypotenuse... side opposite would be AC

by pythagoras theorem

12² + BC² = 13²

BC = root of 25

BC = 5cm

uoyu can also directly say the answer is 5 cm as 5,12 and 13 are pythagorean triplets

Hey mate ❤✌

_______________

Given :-

☆ ABC is a right angled triangle

☆ B = 90°

☆ AB = 12cm

☆ AC = 13cm

Hope you know pythagoras theorm

=> (Side 1)^2 + (Side 2)^2 = Hypotenuse^2

 =  > ab ^{2}  + bc  ^{2}  = ac^{2}

Let's use the theorm to calculate BC

 =  > 12 ^{2}  + bc ^{2}  = 13 ^{2}

 =  > bc ^{2}  = 13 ^{2}  - 12 ^{2}

 =  > bc ^{2}  = 169 - 144

 =  > bc =  \sqrt{25}

☆ BC = 5cm

Hope you got it !
