Correct Question

If ∆ ABC =∆ PQR and angle a is 60°and angle b is 70°.Then what is the measure of angle R?

Solution

We have, ∆ ABC =∆ PQR thus, we can say that :

  • All the angles of ∆ ABC will also be equal to ∆ PQR

Now,

  • \angle A = \angle P = 60
  • \angle B = \angle Q = 70
  • \angle C = \angle R

So, if we will find \angle C of ∆ABC we can get \angle R itself.

= \angle A + \angle B + \angle C = 180° (Angle sum property of triangle)

= 60 + 70 + \angle C = 180

= 130 + \angle C = 180

= \angle C = 180 - 130

= \angle C = 50

  • Thus,\angle R = 50 because \angle C = \angle R.
