If ABCD is a square whose diagonal is 28 cm then find the ratio of area of square and circle.

Answer:

the sides of the square will be

28/√2=

(28×√2)/√2×√2

=14√2

so the area of the square is

(14√2)2

=392

Again the diameter of the circle =sides of square

hence the radius of circle will be 14√2/2=7√2

so area of circle will be

(7√2)^2

=98 so the ratio of their area is

392/98

=4:1
