Construction: Draw PQ║AB passing through E.
Proof: AB ║ CD (Given)
AB ║ PQ (Construction)
∴ AB ║ CD ║ PQ
When AB ║ PQ,
∠ABE = ∠BEQ (Alternate interior angles)
∠BEQ = 35°

When CD║ PQ,
∠CDE = ∠DEQ (Alternate interior angles)
∴∠DEQ = 65°

∠BED = ∠BEQ + ∠DEQ
 x = 35° + 65°
x = 100°
