A body gives out 10⁹ electrons per second
we know, charge on each electron = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C
∴charge on 10⁹ electrons = 10⁹ × 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C
Means 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C charge flow per second
Let after t time we get total charge from it is 1C
so, charge flow per second × time taken = getting total charge from it
⇒ 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C/s × t = 1C
t = 1/1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰ = 10¹⁰/1.6 = 6.25 × 10⁹ second
we know, charge on each electron = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C
∴charge on 10⁹ electrons = 10⁹ × 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C
Means 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C charge flow per second
Let after t time we get total charge from it is 1C
so, charge flow per second × time taken = getting total charge from it
⇒ 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰C/s × t = 1C
t = 1/1.6 × 10⁻¹⁰ = 10¹⁰/1.6 = 6.25 × 10⁹ second
