Answer:

Given : ΔA=a ΔB=b

The quantity given X=AB

Let absolute error in X be ΔX

∴ X+ΔX=(A+ΔA)(B+ΔB)

OR X+ΔX=(A+a)(b+B)=AB+aB+bA+ab

As a and b are very small, thus we can neglect the term ab.

⟹ X+ΔX=AB+aB+bA

⟹ ΔX=aB+bA (∵X=AB)
