Given:
- Diagonals AC and BD of a rectangle = 9.4cm.
- Measure of AOD = 90°.
To Construct:
- A rectangle with the given measures.
Some properties of rectangle used:
- Diagonals bisect each other .
- If the diagonals of rectangle intersect at 90° then it is square.
Steps of Construction:
- Draw AC = 9.4cm .
- Draw the perpendicular bisector of AC .
- Taking O as centre and OC as radius cut two arcs on perpendicular bisector ,one above AC and other below AC .
- Join A to B , A to D , B to C and C to D.
- Hence ABCD is the required rectangle.
→ Also , the rectangle ABCD is square .
Note:
- All squares are rectangles but converse is not true.
