Newtons third law really says that if A pushes B, then B pushes a with equal and opposite force. however this forces do not get cancel because they influence the motion of different object. the force exerted by A influences B motion, and force exerted by B influences A motion. the force on B can cancel other forces on B bot not with the force on A.
