if action is equal to reaction then how can we walk

while walking we apply a force on the ground backward...and since every action has an equal and opposite reaction...the ground exerts a forward push on our legs and thus we are able to walk...

Similarly the movement of cycle, animals, objects rolling on ground, vehicles can be explained
