When added to 50

x+ 50

It becomes twice itself.

Thus the eqn formed will be...

x+50=2x

2x=x+50

Answer:

Sorry about my previous answer. I'll elaborate.

Let the number to be added to 50 be considered x.

When x is added to 50, 50 should become twice itself. So it should be 50×2 = 100

So, 50 + x = 100

x = 100 - 50

x = 50
