Adil cycle in 12 minutes = 3 km (300m)

GIVEN:- Adil can cycle 15 km (15000 m) in one hour

TO FIND :- how far can Adil cycle in 12 minutes

SOLUTION:-

As we know, 1 hour = 60 minutes

Adil can cycle 15 km (15000 m) in 60 minutes

By applying Unitary Method

The unitary method is a method for solving a question by first finding the value of a single unit, and then finding the given value by multiplying the single unit value.

In 60 minutes Adil can cycle = 15 km

In 1 minute Adil can cycle = \frac{15}{60} km

In 12 minutes Adil can cycle =

In \: 1 \: minute \: Adil \: can \: cycle × 12

 = \frac{15}{60} \times 12 \\ = \frac{180}{60} \\ = 3 \: km

Hence, Adil cycle in 12 minutes = 3 km (300m)
