Let Selling Price = 100

Sold price = 88 (12% discount = 100 -12 = 88 = sold price)

But sold price = 10% profit = 1.1 CP

so

1.1CP = 88

CP = 80

SP = 100

That is 25%

80 * 1.25 = 100

so CP was marked up by 25%

Hello!!

Let Selling price = 100

Sold price = 88(100-12)

But Sold price = 10%profit = 1.1 C.P

So,

1.1 C.P =88

C.P= 80

S.P= 100

That is 25%

80 \times 1.25 = 100

So C.P was marked by 25%

Hope this helps..
