we know that

sum of roots = -b/a

products of roots = c/a

given 2x²-4x+6

a = 2 ; b = -4 ; c = 6

sum of roots = -b/a = -(-4)/2 = 2

product of roots = c/a = 6/2 = 3

 \frac{1}{ \alpha }  +  \frac{1}{ \beta }  =  \frac{ \alpha  +  \beta }{ \alpha  \beta }  =  \frac{2}{3}
(alpha + beta ) sum of roots

(alpha. beta) product of roots
