(c) it would not be possible to sit on a chair

For the existence of friction between two bodies and tension in a string, electromagnetic force is needed. Electromagnetic force exists only between charged particles. For sitting on a chair, we need fractional force. A neutral particle can exert gravitational force on other neutral particles. So, even if all the matters were made up of electrically neutral particles, the earth will still move around the sun.

Hello Dear.

If all matters were made of electrically neural particles such as neutrons then in this case.

Answer :- Option (a) , (b) , (c) are correct.

Reason/ Explanation :-

For option (a) :- There would be no force of friction because the particles of the matter are charge less, i.e neutral . Thus no electromagnetic force is created. as result of this there will be no friction. Hence the option (a) is correct.

For option (b) :- There would be No tension in the string :- There would be no tension in the string because the particles of the springs are neutral , i.e charge less. Thus there will be no electromagnetic force which is required to create tension in the string. Hence option (b) is correct.

For option (c) :- It would not be possible to sit on a chair :- For sitting in a chair force of action must be equal to the force of reaction (or Tension) , since the particles are neutral , i.e charge less. Therefore , No tension force or reaction created.Hence it would not be possible to sit on chair when the particle are neutral. Hence option (c) is correct.

For option (d) :- The earth couldn't move around the sun :- The rotation of the earth around the sun is possible due to the gravitational force. Since the neutrons have mass there will be the gravitational force because gravitational force directly proportional to the mass. Thus Earth will continue to move around the sun when the particles are neutral. Hence option ( d) is not correct.

Hope it Helps.
