If all the waste we generate is biolegradable will this have any impact on the environment . Give reason for your answer

Give any two ways in which biodegradable substances would affect the environment. Answer: They may produce foul smell during decomposition process. They may produce some harmful gases such as ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide, etc., which can further-cause global warming.




The microorganisms that break it down can cause disease and produce harmful gases. Non-biodegradable materials are often synthetic products like plastic, glass and batteries. Because they don't break down easily, if not disposed of properly, non-biodegradable waste can cause pollution, block drains and harm animals.
