If alpha and beta are roots of equation 3x^2-2x-1=0 find value of alpha÷beta+beta÷alpha without finding value of alpha and beta

a/b+b/a=(a^2+b^2)/ab=((a+b)^2-ab)/ab

given eqn

3x^2-2x-1=0

product of roots ab = -1/3

sum of roots a+b=2/3

a/b+b/a=((2/3)^2-(-1/3))/-1/3

=(4/9+1/3)/-1/3

=(7/9)/-1/3

=-7/9×3/1

= -7/3
