if alpha and beta are tge zeroes of x2+5x+8 then find the value of alpha square + beta square​

Alpha + beta = - 5
And, Alpha * Beta = 8

(Alpha + beta) ^ 2 - 2 * Alpha * beta = alpha square + beta square.

Therefore, (-5)^ 2 - 2 * 8 = 25 - 16 = 9
