let alpha= A and beta= B (for ease of typing)

then A+ B = -b/a and AB= c/a.

A2+B2= (A+B)^2 - 2AB

          = b2/a2 - 2c/a

          = b2 - 2ac/ a2

now,

1/A2 + 1/B2

= (B2 + A2)/ AB^2

= (b2 - 2ac/ a2) / (c/a)^2, on simplifying,

= b^2 - 2ac/ c^2. (Answer)
