Answer:

\huge\sf\color{orange}{Answer:}

Given polynomial p(x)=(x−1)(x+2)

Replace x by -1 we get

p(−1)=(−1−1)(−1+2)

⇒ p(−1)=−2×1

⇒ p(1)=−2

Replace x by -2 we get

p(−2)=(−2−1)(−2+2)

⇒ p(−2)=−3×0

⇒ p(−2)=0

Then polynomial p(x)=(x−1)(x+2) is zero polynomial for value for x=-2 and not zero polynomial for value x=-1
