If alpha and beta are the zeroes of 4x^2-x-4, then find the value of 1/2alpha +1/2 beta

x = -b±\sqrt{b^2-4ac/ 2a

apply this formula by assuming that a=4,b=1,c=4

α = -1+3\sqrt{7i/8   β= -1-3\sqrt{7i/8

then on solving,the value of 1/2 alpha + 1/2beta

is -1/8
